Information-theoretic measures for Morse and Pöschl–Teller potentials

چکیده
The spreading of the quantum-mechanical probability cloud for the ground state of the Morse and modified Pöschl–Teller potentials, which controls the chemical and physical properties of some molecular systems, is studied in position and momentum space by means of global (Shannon’s information entropy, variance) and local (Fisher’s information) informationtheoretic measures. We establish a general relation between variance and Fisher’s information, proving that, in the case of a real-valued and symmetric wavefunction, the well-known Cramer–Rao and Heisenberg uncertainty inequalities are equivalent. Finally, we discuss the asymptotics of all three information measures, showing that the ground state of these potentials saturates all the uncertainty relations in an appropriate limit of the parameter.

Wronskian and Casorati determinant representations for Darboux-Pöschl-Teller potentials and their difference extensions
We consider some special reductions of generic Darboux-Crum dressing formulas and of their difference versions. As a matter of fact we obtain some new formulas for Darboux-Pöschl-Teller potentials, their difference deformations and the related eigenfunctions.
متن کاملCoherent states of Pöschl-Teller potential and their revival dynamics
A recently developed algebraic approach for constructing coherent states for solvable potentials is used to obtain the displacement operator coherent state of the Pöschl-Teller potential. We establish the connection between this and the annihilation operator coherent state and compare their properties. We study the details of the revival structure arising from different time scales underlying t...
متن کاملPeculiarities of the hidden nonlinear supersymmetry of Pöschl-Teller system in the light of Lamé equation
A hidden nonlinear bosonized supersymmetry was revealed recently in Pöschl-Teller and finite-gap Lamé systems. In spite of the intimate relationship between the two quantum models, the hidden supersymmetry in them displays essential differences. In particular, the kernel of the supercharges of the Pöschl-Teller system, unlike the case of Lamé equation, includes nonphysical states. By means of L...
متن کاملGinsburg-Pitaevski-Gross differential equation with the Rosen-Morse and modified Woods-Saxon potentials
In this paper, we consider non-linear Ginsburg-Pitaevski-Gross equation with the Rosen-Morse and modifiedWoods-Saxon potentials which is corresponding to the quantum vortices and has important applications in turbulence theory. We use the Runge- Kutta-Fehlberg approximation method to solve the resulting non-linear equation.
متن کاملSpectral Multipliers for Schrödinger Operators with Pöschl-teller Potential
Spectral multiplier theorem for differential operators plays a significant role in harmonic analysis and PDEs. It is closely related to the study of the associated function spaces and Littlewood-Paley theory. Let H = −∆ + V be a Schrödinger operator on R, where V is real-valued. Spectral multipliers for H have been considered in [22, 16, 14, 15, 3] and [12] for positive potentials. The case of ...
